Our Team

We are a team of Berkeley graduate students in the MIDS program, who are interested in finance and are retail traders ourselves. The idea behind StockSense stemmed from our interest in assessing the validity of technical trading signals. We frequently encounter investment recommendations based on technical analysis, and lament the lack of a simple-to-use tool accessible to retail investors that could allow us to test these trading strategies. Existing evaluation tools for trading strategy are often subjective, lack transparency, or simply inaccessible to retail investors. Realizing the urgent need of a simple to use, transparent, widely available trading strategy evaluation platform, we built StockSense.
